Midwest Photography Workshops
is Southeast Michigan's largest school of Photography. We offer over 200 classes, workshops, meet-ups and photo safaris. We specialize in small class sizes to maximize students learning and retention. We strive for an eight-to one-student to instructor ratio for workshops and safaris. This insures that every student gets plenty of personal attention. The instructors at MPW are not only experts in the classroom, but highly accomplished instructors in the field to assist students “get their shot”.
Bryce Denison is the Director of Midwest Photography and is now in his sixtieth year of photography. He is happy and willing to share this over half century of experience with fellow photographers. Classes
Our extensive selection of evening classes will give photographers of all levels the opportunity to improve their skills and learn new techniques. Most classes meet 4 to 6 sessions, once a week, typically from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. for the evening session and from 10:30AM to 2:30 PM for the morning sessions. Many classes include an all-day shooting or computer lab printing.
Workshops
MPW offers many workshops that will allow you put your photographic skills to use. Our workshops will take you either into the studio or on location for day-long shooting and instruction. We always keep the participant to instructor ratio low (typically 10 to 1 or less). Most workshops will run from 10 am to 5 PM. Saturday and/or Sunday. Some weekends will have 2 different workshops (one Saturday & one Sunday) but of a similar theme to allow you to get the most out of your weekend.
Photo Safari Trips
We are proud to offer a variety of unique photo safari trips in our 300 course series. These photographic excursions are designed for photographers of all skill levels, novice through advanced. Our instructors will take you to beautiful locations and provide you with world-class instruction. Come with us to explore the United States, Europe and Canada; photograph natural beauty that will take your breath away. Our goal is to put the world in front of your lens and give you the photographic opportunities of a lifetime.
